Welcome to the Rice Integrated Systems and Electromagnetics (RISE) Lab. We focus on integrated circuits and systems design for high-speed wireless communication, sensing, imaging, and health care.

We have multiple openings in Fall 2024 for self-motivated and creative Ph.D. students who are interested in (1) analog/mixed-signal integrated circuits for brain-machine interfaces (prior experience on ADC is a plus), and (2) RF/mmWave integrated circuits for beyond-5G wireless communications and sensing (prior mmWave tapeout experience is a plus). Please follow the application guidelines for Rice ECE program (indicate Computer Engineering as your interest area and mention my name in your application) and contact Dr. Chi with your CV and transcripts.
